CMFNL Grand Final 2023 – Netball U18s

U18s – Cohuna v Tyntynder
Cohuna 37
Tyntynder 50
Best on court: Olivia Stead (Tyntynder)

AFTER last year’s heartbreaking loss, Tyntynder’s 18 and Under side have redeemed themselves, taking home the 2023 premiership over Cohuna.

Bulldogs coach Emma Smith said it was an amazing feeling to finally see their hard work be rewarded.

“We lost the grand final last year, so to bounce back and take home the premiership this year is just incredible,” she said.

“It sort of seesawed at the start (of the game). There were lots of mistakes and lots of nerves, but I felt like we once we gained our composure, we just drove it for every single quarter and put our body on the line for four quarters and came away with the win.

“I’m super proud of the girls – we’ve trained so hard, worked so hard, and they deserve it.”

Best on court went to Bulldogs shooter Olivia Stead, who dominated in the ring, scoring more than half of her team’s total goals.
