Fewer ladies took to the tee at Murray Downs

CHRISTMAS preparations and holidays reduced the numbers with only 35 ladies playing in the par competition at the Murray Downs Gold and Country Club on Wednesday.

Marj Elston won the day with a score of 2 up from her 30 handicap, Eileen Morath (34) was next best with 1 up.

Maryann Mathiske and Suzanne McLellan both were square to lead the ball pool.

Phasinee Chaiyasit, Rhonda Barrow, Maryann Mathiske and Chris Warburton hit the most accurate shots to the par 3s.

Marg Moore’s hot golf matched the weather on Saturday – her score of 40 points from her 22 handicap was 2 points clear of Michelle Holt (24), who was in turn 2 points clear of Bev West (34).

Michelle and Jenny Lynas were NTP winners.

On Sunday, Col Roberts (27) 36 points was the winner from Sue Davis and Lynne Bishop, both 34 points.

Captain Mag Kiley and the committee would like to wish all members a happy and safe Christmas and good golfing in 2022.
