MURRAY DOWNS LADIES

AGAINST par was the name of the game set down for the 48 competitors at MDG&CC on Wednesday.

Maralyn Morrison (26) and Bev West (30) both scored 2 up to win Div 1 & 2 respectively, the runners-up were Claris Bourne (25) and Di Atkin (31), both 1 up.

Jude Simmonds, Rosie Ficarra and Suzanne McLellan also scored 1 up to lead the ball countdown.

Anne Webb hit her tee shot within 2 metres to win the jackpot on the 11th and the other accurate shots were hit by Sarah Clark, Sue Davis and Pam Austerberry.

Elaine Brown (30) 39 points led Saturday’s leader board with Kerry Gammon (31) 37 points next best, whilst Jude Simmonds, Judi Benbow and Sheila Beard all had 36 points.

Marg Moore, Jude Simmonds and Glenda Coulter were NTP winners and on Sunday Barb Clark took out the honours with 40 points from her 28 handicap, with Belinda Gardner (31) 39 points the next best.
