Tooleybuc tees off

TOOLEYBUC Sporting Club has invested more than $100,000 in upgrading its golf courses and the renovations are almost complete.

Moving the clubhouse, establishing a new putting green, practice nets and extended tee lengths are a few of the improvements.

The course has been extended by 190 metres and the difficulty factor increased.

Behind the scenes, a new online booking system is due to begin in September, along with a golf-cart hire system.

Carts have not been available at the club in the past.

Chief executive John Cameron said the course was looking amazing, with the curator doing an incredible job.

“As of October 6 we will be implementing a nine-hole twilight golf series,” Mr Cameron said.

“We have also put in place a par three tee area.

“There is also junior coaching on Wednesdays, in conjunction with Nyah, and that will continue through until September.

“We have even installed a special antique water wheel.”
