A few intrepid golfers carried on, however, with Jude Simmonds (25) 37 points and Sue Davis (26) 33 points winning the major prizes.

Sarah Clark with 32 points and Joan Foster with 31 points were next best, with Jenice Krahnert and Sue Davis hitting the most accurate shots on the par-threes.

LAKESIDE LADIES

AFTER a foggy start, Lakeside looked a treat in the sunshine, with the freshly mown fairways (thanks Gerald) and raked sands challenging those who tried to score points for a round of Stableford.

Sue Notting had gobblers on the 10th and 14th, while Mandy Male had a birdie and gobbler on the 9th.

Plans are well under way for our centenary celebrations at our tournament and dinner, with players needing to book and pay to play and dine by Saturday, August 10 if you want to come to Royal Lakeside.
