MURRAY Downs Golf and Country Club women members will have a 10 day hiatus from golf courtesy of the staging of the NSW Open, with Tuesday, November 5, the last available day to play.

Lynne Lawry hit her tee shot to 93 cm from the flag on the 11th hole to win the jackpot, with the other nearest the pin winners being Maryanne Davis and Ruth McAlister.

On Saturday, Tara Free (33) scored a 70 nett to win the trophy donated in memory of Mal Woolhouse, with Kristy Gordon (17) on 71 the next best, while Rhonda Barrow, Dione Heppell and Paula Pickert won the nearest the pin prizes.
