MURRAY DOWNS LADIES

SIXTY-nine pairs of women teed off in the annual Silver Putter four-ball event at the Murray Downs Golf and Country Club on Wednesday.

Visitors from clubs across South Australia, New South Wales and all over Victoria endured rain and icy winds straight from Antarctic, with a feature of the winners list being that the three major placegetters all held lower level handicaps.

Jenny O’Connor (16) and Kerry Peterson (14) from the Gisborne Golf Club finished third on a count back ahead of the 2024 winners and local pairing Robyn Bett and Julie Overall, with Sue Davis and Di Pinal and Janette Tucker and Bianca Brasser also in the mix.
