Featherby, Gleeson to provide consistency to Swans

Moulamein Swans A Grade midcourter Courtney Atkins is upbeat about the Swans’ season, despite the team not yet having an A Grade coach.

“Our A Grade side is going to be great, we have a young gun named Zarlie Featherby from Tyntynder and Maddy Gleeson from Lake Boga to add to our team,” Atkins said.

Despite finishing third in 2023, their season was inconsistent, losing winnable games close to the end of the year.

The Swans have also lost the formidable Matika Mitchell who took away the Golden Rivers A Grade league medal in 2023.

In: Zarlie Featherby (Tyntynder) Maddy Gleeson (Lake Boga)

Out: Maddison Wild, Matika Mitchell, Sarah Jane Carmichael.

PLAYER TO WATCH: Maddy Gleeson. Playing in Lake Boga’s A reserve team in 2023, Maddy makes the change to Moulamein this season. Maddy is a fit and agile defender who will be a welcome addition to the Swans line-up with the loss of Matika Mitchell.
