Roos keen to begin

Ultima coach Tayla Foster was “blown away” with the turnout at her club’s pre-season.

“The girls haven’t missed a beat since mid January and it’s been really nice to see the connection between the group coming together,” she said.

Foster is hoping for her senior teams to go deep into finals after a disappointing end to 2024 season where her A Grade went out in the Elimination Final against Moulamein.

The Roos are very optimistic and excited that this season will bring more success and are keen to begin.

Losing Lily Grey, Kobe Davison and Grace Farrell, means Foster has a big job putting her team together, however a number of new players are putting their hands up for selection.


In: Madison Davies, Ashlea Johnson, Sam Taverna, Jenna Wild (Lake Boga) Jade Featherby (Tyntynder) Molly McGowan, Isis Davison (U17 coming up to seniors)

Out: Lily Grey, Kobe Davison, Grace Farrell.

PLAYER TO WATCH: Jackelyn Burge. Jackelyn has put in a solid pre-season and was a big asset for Ultima in the second half of last season but unfortunately missed the Roos finals campaign. A zippy midcourter, expect to see her linking with Foster in the Roos midcourt.
