Covid vaccines underway in Balranald

MORE than 60 people have taken up the opportunity to get the Pfizer jab in Balranald.

A Far West Local Health District (LHD) spokesperson told The Guardian there had been significant interest for the Pfizer vaccination at Balranald Multipurpose Service.

Far West LHD held free AstraZeneca vaccination sessions at Balranald MPS on June 29 and 30 and its first Pfizer vaccination session on July 1.

“More than 60 eligible community members received their first dose of (the) Pfizer vaccine at the community clinic,” the spokesperson said.

The health service will provide further information to the community when the next round of Covid-19 vaccinations are available at Balranald MPS.
