Hundreds of vaccines administered

THE Balranald Multipurpose Service (MPS) hosted the Far West Local Health District’s first drive-through vaccination clinic on Thursday September 9.

There were 274 doses of COVID-19 vaccination administered, exceeding expectations.

Balranald MPS acting health service manager Martin Cushing was pleasantly surprised by the turnout.

“The result was outstanding – thanks to everyone who drove through and got their jab,” Mr Cushing said.

The huge success of the clinic was due to the joint effort and collaboration between various organisations including:

– Australian Medical Assistance Teams (AUSMAT);

– Balranald MPS/Far West Local Health District (FWLHD);

– Marri Ma;

– Balranald Shire Council;

– And NSW Police.

The FWLHD would like to thank all those who drove through to receive their vaccination.

These community members have done their part to help keep our local communities safe.

FWLHD would like to remind the Balranald community that COVID-19 vaccination clinics will still be held at the Balranald MPS.

People can register for their first vaccination by calling 1800 206 001 or via the Balranald Vaccination QR codes.
