Robinvale District Health Services reopens Urgent Care Centre

ROBINVALE District Health Services (RDHS) was forced to close its main campus and enact visitor restrictions last Monday as a result of a number of positive COVID cases and staff shortages.

However, after putting in place procedures to stop the spread of the outbreak and reporting no new cases for five days in a row, the Urgent Care Centre was reopened on Thursday.

Acting chief executive of RDHS Denise Parry commended the staff at RDHS for their support for each other and residents.

“We are very pleased that our systems have worked well in containing the outbreak,” Ms Parry said.

“We are very appreciative of the interest and the support from our local community in supporting RDHS’s measures to contain the outbreak,” she said.

“We realise these always will have impact on the community and we are committed to our role to keep everyone as safe as possible.”

Decisions regarding ceasing the outbreak are currently in discussion with the Local Public Health Unit and RDHS Clinical lead, with no further updates at this point in time.

The Urgent Care Centre is open 24 hours. Further updates can be found on the RDHS Facebook page.
