THE new interim chief executive officer for Mallee Track Health and Community Services is Tracey Wilson.
Board chair John Papatheohari said the service was “delighted” to have Ms Wilson, who was set to start work next Wednesday, on board.
“MTHCS is well known to Tracey through her role as director (of) Northern Mallee Integrated Partnership,” he said.
“She has expansive regional and rural senior executive experience across the health and community sectors.”
Mr Papatheohari said valued insights had been offered over recent weeks by the community and staff, and there was a sense of anticipation across the catchment on the potential development of MTHCS services through enhanced connectivity and collaboration.
“Strengthening partnerships is expected to be vital to our ongoing ability to plan and deliver the best health and community service outcomes for our population,” he said. “In the coming months we will be initiating extensive community consultation to obtain contributions to our next-iteration strategic plan.
“This will include the formation of a MTHCS community advisory committee, welcoming consumer representatives as members of this sub-committee reporting through to the board.”
Lois O’Callaghan recently ended her six-year tenure in the job.
