I would like to take
this opportunity to congratulate two Swan Hill students who have been awarded
substantial scholarships to assist them to complete their school studies and to
further their education.
Ashley Johnson and Remy Nicholson, both of whom
attend Swan Hill College, were recently awarded Wannik Education Scholarships
worth $5000 each.
These scholarships recognise outstanding school achievement
and a commitment to local community and both Ashley and Remy are very worthy
recipients of this acknowledgement.
The two students were presented with their
scholarships along with 18 other high-achieving Koorie students from across the
state by my colleague, Minister for Education, Martin Dixon, at a special
ceremony in Melbourne.
Ashley and Remy have demonstrated a high level of
commitment and achievement with their studies and I wish them well in the coming
years as they complete their education and develop their future career choices.
