Friday, April 8

– Swan Hill District Health was selected as the first site for the rollout of the I-HEART Project. In a joint initiative with Deakin University, Austin Health and St Vincent’s Health, the two-year trial will focus on new heart failure guidelines in regional Australia.

– Swan Hill Rural City Council bid farewell to finance manager Warren Snyder who retired after 44 years with the council. Mr Snyder started with council in 1979 as a payroll officer.

– The local community dug deep for The Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal as Swan Hill’s own little superhero Parker O’Bree finished his last round of chemotherapy. The 19-month old spent months in Melbourne as he underwent treatment for childhood cancer.
