Tuesday, April 19
– Angry Tooleybuc residents expressed their frustration following the announcement that their bridge would be closed for six weeks for repairs.
– Prosecutors said there was “no doubt as to whodunnit” in the trial of Adrian Basham, accused of murdering his estranged wife, former Swan Hill resident Samantha Fraser. In the Supreme Court in Melbourne, just prior to Easter, Crown Prosecutor Nanette Rogers spent two days summarising 79 witness accounts and 58 exhibits for the jury.

– Scott Barber was appointed as chief executive of Swan Hill Rural City Council.
Friday, April 22
– The SES responded to a number of calls during the week. The Bureau of Meteorology recorded 68.6mm of rain in Swan Hill this week.
– Independent MP Helen Dalton met with Tooleybuc residents at an emergency meeting to discuss the proposed closure of the bridge for repairs. Ms Dalton said the six-week closure would “destroy local businesses.”
– Adrian Basham was found guilty of murdering his ex-wife, Swan Hill-raised mother and psychologist Samantha Fraser in her Cowes home in July 2018. The jury found Mr Basham, 45, guilty of staging Ms Fraser’s death to appear as suicide.
