Tuesday, November 8

• Independent member for Murray Helen Dalton demands NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet or Prime Minister Anthony Albanese trigger disaster recovery funding arrangement assistance for Murray River Council to category D. She said both men needed to stop “wasting time” and begin supporting the devastated community.

Friday, November 11

• Despite the early peak of the Murray River, emergency services were still high on alert with the prospect of further rain. The peak, however was lower than expected at 4.6 metres. Forecasts suggested 3050mm would fall over the following weekend, which SES deputy chief off icer Alistair Drayton said still left an “enormous risk” in the area.

• Swan Hill had its wettest October on record with 160.6mm recorded. It smashed the previous record of 119mm back in 1975, with records dating back to 1984.
