Pyramid Hill netball season preview

CHELSEA Emmerson is pretty pumped about her first year running the A-grade for the Bulldogs – and more than hopeful her side will go deep into the post season.

In 2023 the team finished fourth, winning the elimination final before its campaign was ended the next week.

But Emmerson has hung onto five of that team, got a couple of returning girls and picked up a few from other clubs.

“Aleesha Flanagan has been away a few seasons and is coming back from Nyah, while Bec McKnight returns after having a baby,” she adds.

“We will also be able to move Imogen Broad back into the midcourt with the inclusion of Abbey Dingwall to take her place in the defence.”

The 2023 C Grade coach and player will not be back on the court this year but she has whittled her line-up down to a core of nine and describes it as a very talented roster.

PLAYER TO WATCH

DARCIE Tierney joins Pyramid Hill from Birchip and she has been described as a “very quick and dynamic” forward who reads the play instinctively, is able to run all day and should provide a real focus up the court.
