Charlton netball season preview

The Guardian and Gannawarra Times were unable to contact a representative of the Charlton netball side but would like to pay tribute to a dedicated netballer who passed away in March.

Maddison (Maddi) Fitzpatrick played her first game at Charlton in 2014.

Throughout her playing career, she experienced success as a league representative from 2016 in the under 13 side.

In 2017 she was selected for the AFLCV Academy and in 2018 she was selected again as well as taking a place in the Bendigo Academy of Sport.

From here, success continued as a player and coach for Charlton’s A-grade side along with a variety of awards, nominations and team selections at league and higher levels.

The club paid tribute to her dedication and talent and said she will be missed around the netball courts.
