Lake Boga make switch for lead

Despite a slow start to their first game of 2022, Lake Boga came out with a win over Tooleybuc-Manangatang, beating them 53-47.

Superb defensive player Emma Peacock has joined the already strong Lake Boga side from Kerang, and is sure to impress this season.

Tooleybuc-Manangatang led the game at the end of the first quarter and at half-time, up by two goals at each turn.

But a change of positions by Lake Boga stopped them in their tracks.

The half-time switch of Jemma Meehan and Emma Peacock to GK and GD respectively refreshed Boga’s defensive end, with the play beginning to click and allowing them to push out a 18-10 score for the third quarter.

Lake Boga kept the pace up in the final term.

FINAL WHISTLE:

TOOLEYBUC-MANANGATANG – 47

LAKE BOGA – 53

BEST: TOOLEYBUC-MANANGATANG – Leonie Kentish

LAKE BOGA – Emma Peacock
