NYAH-Nyah West United have started their season with a bang, beating Koondrook-Barham by a 28-goal margin.
The Raiders were playing catch-up almost from the start of the match, with the Demons able to get ahead by 16 goals at half-time and continuing to grow their lead.
Demons defenders Aleesha Flanagan and Bridie Curran were some of the standouts on the court, both putting in dominant performances.
Demons coach Laura Anderson said it was great to be able to get a win on the board in the first round of the season and was already looking forward to seeing what her team will be able to do next week against Lake Boga.
“We will definitely take confidence away from the game as it was a very positive and encouraging match, with many players changing positions and adapting to those changes quickly and seamlessly,” she said.
