COHUNA have got a win on the board after beating Koondrook-Barham comfortably by 25 goals.
The Kangas worked hard in the heat, earning a 10-point lead by half-time.
While the Raiders were able to capitalise on a couple of crucial turnovers to pull back their deficit to seven goals heading into the last term, it was too little too late against the determined Kangas.
Kangas playing coach Meg Dye said the Raiders gave her side a run for their money, and was happy to come out on top.
“Our last quarter was played out with some of our best netball,” she said.
“It was a whole team effort – everyone lifted and it was wonderful to see.”
The Raiders’ shooters Remy Doyle and Emily Fasham put in a solid performance under intense pressure from Kangas defenders Breanna Wilson and Keely Wilson.
FINAL WHISTLE:
Koondrook-Barham 37
