Blues hold top position

KERANG stayed at the top of the A Grade ladder after a solid six-goal win over Nyah-Nyah West United.

It wasn’t an easy contest for the Blues, though, and the Demons trailed by only a goal or two for most of the game.

Demons assistant coaches Madison Jones and Matika Mitchell said it was a tough match, but their team played their roles well and were able to adjust to the changes thrown at them.

“We were really happy with how the girls played four consistent quarters of netball and kept a really positive mindset throughout the whole game,” they said.

Demons shooter Denise Snyder put out a strong performance, holding her own against Blues defender and playing coach Chloe Adams.

The Demons will now go up against Swan Hill in round 4, while the Blues will be looking to keep up their winning streak when they host Cohuna.

FINAL WHISTLE:

NNW United 37

Kerang 43
