IT was a tough day on the court for Nyah-Nyah West United, going down to Swan Hill by 38 goals.
The Swans were unstoppable from the get-go, more than doubling the Demons’ score at the end of every quarter.
Swans coach Madeline Nalder said the injection of Jenna Jenkins into their defensive end was a big part of her team’s win.
“Jenkins provided great leadership and also height in our defence end, which was pivotal to us,” Nalder said.
Demons coach Laura Anderson said despite what the scoreline showed, her players were able to carry out their roles throughout the game while adjusting to changes and some injuries.
“We are looking forward to the next round and trying to put in a consistent four-quarter effort on the court,” she said.
Swan Hill will travel to Cohuna to take on the Kangas in the next round, while the Demons will host Tooleybuc-Manangatang.
FINAL WHISTLE:
