Tigers have roaring win

KERANG were unable to finish their 2023 season with a win, going down to Woorinen by 23 goals.

The Blues were able to take control of the game early on, gaining a two-goal lead by the first break. But once the Tigers were able to settle into the game, the momentum of the match swung in their favour.

Tigers coach Tayla Bennett said while she was pleased to get a win, it’s now time for her and her team to step up as they enter the finals.

“It is a great end to the season, however this is where the hard work really begins, and it’s anyone’s game, which is so exciting for our league,” she said.

Finishing the season in third place, Woorinen will now play Swan Hill in the double-chance, qualifying final on Saturday at Lalbert Recreation Reserve.

FINAL WHISTLE

Kerang 35

Woorinen 58
