THE opening netball match of the day gave spectators an absolute thrill, Kerang’s 16 & Under side just getting over the line by a goal scored in the dying seconds.
While Woorinen led by five goals at three-quarter-time, the Blues dug deep in the last quarter, scoring a goal just as the siren went to win the game.
They took home the premiership for the second year in row.
Kerang’s goal defender Lily Wise, who applied an immense amount of pressure on the goal shooters and created critical opportunities for her team, was named best on court.
