Clarification

THE story ‘Toxic’ claims in Friday’s paper incorrectly stated that the exodus of employees was from the assets department. Although their roles deal with assets, such as council-managed roads, the correct department is operations. The story highlighted a restructure of some employees being moved into the assets department. The Guardian apologises for the inconvenience caused.
