Swan Hill indoor pool opening Monday

GREAT news for our local swimmers with Belgravia Leisure announcing they will be reopening their indoor pool facilities at the Swan Hill Leisure Centre on Monday, June 15.

As we have seen with the reopening of other facilities, there will be some changes at the centre to mitigate the potential risk of coronavirus infection.

Public access to the pool will need to be booked in advance via the centre’s booking management system. Water bubblers, showers and changerooms will also be unavailable to ensure that all risks of infection are mitigated.

The centre is continuing to work on the release of timetabling for the reintroduction of aquatic programs such as aqua aerobics, swim lessons and squad training. Further advice will be provided as this is developed.

In more great news, the centre is planning for a re-opening of its health club from June 22 (subject to any further change in government restrictions).

For more information, contact the Swan Hill Leisure Centre on 5032 5222.

Council services and facilities

WITH things regularly changing regarding council services and facilities, I just thought I would provide a quick summary of what’s currently open.

Council’s Splatt Street offices: Open to the public weekdays from 8.30am to 5pm.

Library services: Click and collect services are available by appointment. Customers in outlying communities who would usually access the mobile library service can currently access the library housebound service.

The library will be starting a click and collect service for the Robinvale community from June 18. Call 5036 2480 to find out more.

Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery: Open weekdays from 10am to 5pm, weekends from 10am to 4pm.

Swan Hill Region Information Centre: Open weekdays from 9am to 5pm, weekends from 10am to 2pm.

Playgrounds, skateparks and outdoor gym equipment: Open to the public. Remember when attending these facilities that people shouldn’t gather in groups of more than 20 and stay 1.5 metres apart from others where possible.

Swan Hill indoor pool: Open to the public from June 15. Opening hours: Monday to Thursday 6am to 11am, 4pm to 8pm; Friday 6am to 11am, 4pm to 7pm; Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 10am to 5pm.

Pioneer Settlement: Will re-open on June 25. It will be open daily from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
