New teacher arrives in town

New teacher next week

OUR Moulamein school has been fortunate enough to gain a new male teacher starting next week.

To have one male primary school teacher in a small school like ours is fantastic.

But to gain a second one, even on a temporary basis, is unheard of.

Please make Liam Mason very welcome when he turns up next week.

P&C up and going

THE Moulamein Public School P&C had a short break due to lack of volunteers.

This was an unfortunate event.

But it happens sometimes in our new, busy world.

Congratulations to those that have put their hand up and we hope it continues in the future.

Thank you to those that filled the gap while our P&C had a bit of time out.

Biggest moon ring ever

THIS was pretty impressive on Tuesday night for those that stuck their head out the door.

We get moon rings on the odd occasion, but this was the biggest that I can ever remember seeing in my short life on this planet.

My mum’s theory was always, count the stars in the ring and that is how many days until rain.

Even though this is the biggest moon ring I can ever remember seeing, there are no stars in the ring at the time of writing.

This must mean something. I will have to ask Jack.

Moulamein Bowling Club gourmet fare

THIS great event will be held tomorrow from 2pm until 6pm.

This started out as just a small event, but because of the dreaded COVID-19, there are well over a dozen local businesses that are coming to our club to show their goods.

Our bowling club courtesy bus is picking up 20 ladies from Wakool because they need a day out.

Dinner will be available after 6pm in our club restaurant that night.

This sounds like a great day out for our local businesses as well as our district people that need a day out.

For more information, please ring our bowling club on 5887 5207.

Moulamein 200 Club

THIS is a very unusual organisation. Members give $200 a year and that is all they have to do.

But we also have a social function or two if our members would like to get together for usually something different.

New members are always made most welcome, all you need is $200 and the desire to help Moulamein and local district.

The $200 that you give goes into a kitty to be used for projects around our town. None of this donation is used for the social functions.

Our 200 Club is a bit flushed with funds at the moment, so we are looking for projects to invest in to improve our town or district.

Our 200 Club has even relaxed some of the criteria that would enable a project to go ahead. We would love to help you out if you have a project.

Give me a call, or Alison on 0458 346 682, or Kathy on 0428 857 137 for more information on funding or how to join.
