Anglican parish welcomes locum minister

Anglican

LAST Sunday we welcomed Rev Wayne Dorning and his wife Helen to our parish.

Rev Wayne will be our locum for 10 weeks, and Rev Denis has returned to part-time work.

Wednesday communion services have resumed at 10am.

All are welcome to worship together and share morning tea afterwards.

On Tuesday, Rev Denis participated as the chaplain at both the dawn and the 10.30am Anzac Day services.

This ministry is valued by both the RSL and those who attend to pay respect to all who have suffered due to war.

Rev Denis prayed that we honour their spirit of service and preserve the liberty, truth and justice which they sought.

This Sunday there will be a parish service at 11am followed by a sociable bring-your-own lunch (COVID-safety) together in the hall afterwards, where Rev Wayne will have a chance to mingle and get to know some of us.

The men’s shed and op shop are fully operational at Nyah West so why not drive out and join in the work in the shed or grab a bargain at the op shop?

It’s amazing what you find there.

Thank you to the faithful volunteers and participants who keep these community spaces available.
