LAST Sunday was the first Sunday of Advent, the season of preparation for celebrating the birth of Christ.

The theme for this week is “hope”.

All are welcome to join with us on Advent Wednesdays at 5pm to watch David Suchet reading the Gospel of Mark from St Paul’s Cathedral in London.

Last week, 24 people completed their Safe Church Training, a full day of learning ably led by Rev Zan from Bendigo. Congratulations to all as it was a very in-depth, and at times challenging, preparedness for volunteers at church activities.

Friday night there will be the monthly service at Ultima at 7.30pm in the public hall. Please come and join in this preparation for Christmas for the Ultima area.

Sunday is the last chance to donate money towards the Christmas hampers to be given to families supported by St Luke’s Anglicare. Thank you to everyone who has generously already given.
