Grain Shed

WHAT a beautiful weekend it was, buzzing with holidaymakers in our wonderful town and the region being blessed by all that was on offer.

A big shout out to all the organisers of the different events, the heat was definitely on in more ways than one.

Psalm 42:2: “My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?”

The Grain Shed youth meet tonight at 7pm.

Every Sunday, at 10am, our service starts and all are welcome. Pastor Shayne brought light in his message last week, what will Pastor Emily bring this week?

Stay around after in fellowship, sharing over a drink and a bite to eat.

Grain Shed kid’s desk opens at 9.40am with the children’s program beginning at 10am. This week they will be looking at the seven I Am’s of Jesus. He called himself the Door, the Bread, the Shepherd, the Vine and even the Way.

Mainly Music is back on Monday. Session starts at 10am with 30 minutes of interactive musical fun, followed by morning tea and playtime. Open to newborns through to five years with a parent/grandparent/carer.

Thursday, at 10am, our craft ladies meet. Always active with projects of all sorts.

Sharing from Samaritans Operation Christmas Child report 2023: “A seven-year-old refugee in South Asia had wanted a football and a spinning top toy for a long time but he knew his parents couldn’t afford them.

His family struggled to have enough money to buy food. He was thrilled to find both items in his shoebox.”

“What I saw in that box meant that God cares and answers prayers,” he said.

For all those who participated and packed shoeboxes last year, thank you.

In Victoria alone, 32,358 boxes made their way to children in need around the world.

Our challenge this year is to pack more boxes from the Swan Hill region, increasing the joy brought to many children. Let’s start now.
