Around the churches

Grain Shed

“WOW”, “That looks great” and “It makes it seem bigger, somehow”.

These were just some of the comments on Sunday in reference to our newly painted auditorium.

So even though most of our regular programs are in recess over these winter holidays, there is still work happening around the Grain Shed. Come and see for yourselves.

Last Sunday Pastor Emily finished our series on ‘Missions’ by reminding us all that we are co-workers with God in outworking His mission “to go and make followers of all people in the world”.

We do that by being the hands and feet of Jesus wherever we are. We also go into the world when we support missions.

At the moment we, as a church, support our local community through our pantry, Hampers of Hope, and partnering with Teen Challenge.

And we also support global missions by partnering with other organisations such as Compassion Australia, Sharing Hope, YWAM and SIM.

If you missed Pastor Emilyʻs message and would like to hear it or any of our Sunday messages, you can listen to the podcasts on our website at www.thegrainshed.org.au. Just click on ‘Sermons’ and choose.

Youth, Grainshed Kids and Mainly Music programs are in recess until later this month.

For information about these programs, email kids@thegrainshed.org.au, youth@thegrainshed.org.au or reception@thegrainshed.org.au.

However, school holidays don’t interfere with the intrepid craft ladies, who will still meet on Thursday at 10am to enjoy a cuppa and a chat and dabble in some craft projects.

If you would like to know more about any of our activities, email reception@thegrainshed.org.au
