Rifles and bullets stolen in Balranald

FIREARMS were allegedly stolen from a Balranald home on Market Street, and police are appealing for information.

Officers attached to Barrier Police District were notified of a break-in on Saturday October 23.

Police believe that four rifles, a shotgun and ammunition were stolen from a safe at the home.

A crime scene was established, with the scene being examined by specialist forensic police.

Investigations are continuing.

As part of inquiries, police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or suspicious activity in the area – or who has dashcam or mobile phone footage from the area during March and October – are to contact Balranald Police on 5020 1404 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
