Cash taken from car

POLICE are investigating after cash was allegedly stolen from a parked car at a Vinifera address early this month.

Police said between January 6 and 7 offender/s stole a small amount of cash from the centre console of a vehicle parked at a Murray Valley Highway address.

They also rummaged through other nearby property.

Police urged anyone to report any suspicious people lurking about, in and out of town.Drug possession

A MAN has been bailed to appear at court after allegedly being in possession of drugs.

Police executed a drug warrant on a Mortoo Street address in Swan Hill on January 14.

A male person was arrested as he was in possession of a large quantity of cannabis.

He was bailed to appear at Swan Hill Magistrates’ Court.

Socket set theft

POLICE will speak with a woman over alleged shop theft.

A female entered a business in Beveridge Street, Swan Hill, on January 9 and placed a Kincrome socket set in her bag.

She left the store without paying.

Door, window removed

A FRONT door and window was removed from a house that was being moved in Swan Hill.

The theft happened between January 5 and 8 from a Sellick Street address. Forced entry

ITEMS were allegedly stolen from a Splatt Street unit early this month.

Offender/s forced entry via a window between January 3 and 6.

Offenders have stolen a esky, a bottle of Toquilla and a black JBL speaker. Tools taken

TOOLS were allegedly stolen from a Nowie address last month.

Police said between December 24 and 28, offender/s have attended a Nowie Road address.

Offender/s have broken into a small shed and removed a Stihl chain saw, Milwaukee cordless drill, rattle gun and grease gun.

Man hands himself in

A MAN has handed himself into police after allegedly stealing items from a supermarket in Swan Hill.

A male offender entered the Campbell Street store about 3.40pm on January 3.

He was chased by an employee, discarding stolen property while fleeing.

Some time later, this male offender attended Swan Hill police station to hand himself in.

A shop stealing caution was issued.

“This does not require a court appearance,” a police spokesperson said.

“This male has ended up making a good choice and it has saved him a court appearance on this occasion.

Items placed into car

POLICE say they will be speaking to an alleged thief who stole items from a hardware store.

The man selected a number of items and placed in his car about 5.20pm on December 28.

The offender was questioned by staff regarding the paying for items.

He then paid for one item but failed to pay for a concealed item.Licence lost

A DRIVER has lost his licence after speeding in Swan Hill early this week.

Police alleged the male driver was clocked at 135km/h in a 100 zone on Swan Hill-Sea Lake Road on January 10.

The Swan Hill man was issued a $591 penalty notice and three months loss of licence.

Thongs put on feet

POLICE say they will be speaking to alleged thieves in Sea Lake.

A male and female entered a supermarket about 3pm on January 5.

On entry the female removed a pair of thongs from the stand, removed the tag and placed them on her bare feet.

The pair then purchased alcohol.

Earlier, it appeared they had stolen an Engel fridge from a ute that was parked close by.

The pair are likely to be arrested.
