Car, caravan damaged in fire

POLICE are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged a vehicle and caravan in Robinvale last week.

Firefighters were called to the blaze on Gadsens Bend about 2am on February 11.

Meanwhile, CFA and police attended a shed fire in Church Road, Woorinen about 6.30am on the same day.

The cause is under investigation.

Vehicle torched

THE Swan Hill Crime Investigation Unit is hoping someone may be able to identify two offenders who poured flammable liquid on a victim’s vehicle and set it alight.

The incident happened on February 15 at 1.30am at a Mulbar Street address.

High range drink reading

A DRIVER with an excessive blood alcohol reading has been nabbed in Swan Hill.

Police intercepted a vehicle in Campbell Street in the early hours of February 8.

After providing a positive reading in the roadside test, the 43-year-old driver underwent an evidentiary breath test and recorded 0.372.

His licence was suspended immediately and his vehicle was impounded.

He will receive a summons to appear in court at a later date.

Ute stolen, later found

A UTE was allegedly stolen from a Swan Hill address early this week.

Swan Hill police said the Nissan Navara went missing outside a High Street address between 4.30pm on February 12 and 9am the following day.

The vehicle was located in Beveridge Street later in the day.

Price tag swap

A MAN who allegedly changed price tags so he could pay less for them has been arrested.

The 27-year-old was interviewed in relation to obtaining property by deception over the February 12 incident.

Drug possession

POLICE say a man will face court after being found in possession of cannabis.

Officers spoke to the 31-year-old just before 9pm on February 11 near his vehicle on Campbell Street.

He was charged and bailed to appear in court at a later date.

Lock your vehicles

CAR owners are being urged to lock their vehicle after two unlocked vehicles were entered into recently.

Police said the incidents happened between 9pm on February 9 and 8.30am the following day in Clarke Street, Swan Hill.

Cannabis seized

A QUANTITY of cannabis was allegedly seized by police from a Woorinen South address on February 10.

A 51-year-old male was arrested, charged and bailed to attend court at a later date.
