Unlicensed, drink driving

AN unlicensed man has been caught drink driving at Piangil.

Swan Hill highway patrol officers intercepted the local driver on the Mallee Highway about 12 noon on March 6

The 26-year-old man had never held a driver’s licence.

An evidentiary breath test indicated a blood alcohol reading of 0.126.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

Lawn mower stolen

POLICE say a lawn mower was stolen from a Wycheproof property some time in the past six months.

The Buffalo branded mower was last seen inside a shed in the backyard of the Dempsey Street property.

Property by deception

ROBINVALE police are investigating offences of obtaining property by deception.

A local business received a cheque that was reversed after the victim paid a third party.

Items missing from vehicle

ITEMS were allegedly stolen from a parked vehicle in Swan Hill earlier this month.

Police said some time between 2am and 4am on March 3, items were removed from the vehicle parked in Harrison Crescent.

Groceries taken

FOOD was allegedly stolen from a Swan Hill supermarket last month.

A 28-year-old man removed the items without paying for them about 9pm on February 28.

He was arrested a short time later.

He was charged and bailed to attend court at a later date.
