Firearms stolen from Wemen farm

THREE firearms are in the hands of unknown people after allegedly being stolen from a Wemen property.Offenders entered an unlocked vehicle parked at a property on McMonnie Road, some time between 10.30pm on August 13 and 9am the following day.

Three firearms and ammunition not stored securely in the vehicle were stolen.

The owner of the firearms had his firearm licence suspended and police continue to search for the stolen firearms “as a matter of urgency”.

Two men trespass

IT’S unclear if property was stolen after two men were allegedly seen entering a Nyah West property without permission last week.

The pair were seen entering the Monash Avenue address about 10.30am on August 10.

Police said it’s unclear if anything was stolen.

Ute, tools stolen

A UTILITY vehicle and tools were allegedly stolen from a Woorinen property last week.

Offenders entered the North South Road property some time between 5pm on August 13 and 8am the following day.

A white Mitsubishi ute and tools were taken.

The offender lost control of the vehicle and rolled.

It was located by the owner later that day.

Drug possession

A MAN has been charged after police allegedly found him in possession of drugs.

Police intercepted a vehicle in Swan Hill just after midnight on August 14 and searched the vehicle.

A 33-year-old man was charged and bailed for possessing a drug of dependence and a 32-year-old man is being investigated for possess of methylamphetamine.

Cannabis in sight

A WOMAN was cautioned after entering the police station with a tin of cannabis.

The 33-year-old attended the station for outstanding matters on August 12.

Before interviewing her on those matters, police searched her belongings and located what is believed to be cannabis in a tin with the picture of a cannabis leaf on the front.

The female was issued a caution.

Laundry fire

A CLOTHES dryer is believed to have sparked a fire inside a Swan Hill home last week.

Occupants of the Guardian Court home were woken by a smoke alarm about 1.30am on August 12.

A fire had started in the laundry area.

The occupants were able to escape the home while firefighters were called to the scene.

It is believed that the cause of the fire was a clothes dryer.

The fire is not being treated as suspicious.

Sheds accessed

OFFENDERS allegedly accessed various sheds at a Robinvale property earlier this month.

The Finschhafen Road property was targeted some time between 5pm on August 9 and 8am the following day.

It’s unclear if anything was stolen.
