Police seize knife, drugs

A MAN in possession of a knife and the drug ice will appear in court.

Police said the 51-year-old was stopped after riding a bicycle without a helmet on Thurla Street, Swan Hill about 3pm on December 12.

The man was searched and a small plastic bag was found.

Police said he admitted that it was methylamphetamine.

He was also found in possession of a prohibited weapon being a knife.

The man was arrested, interviewed and bailed to appear at Swan Hill Magistrates’ Court.

Meanwhile, police said another man was also found in possession of ice after being observed leaving a residential premises in Swan Hill on December 15.

He too was bailed to appear in court at a later date.
