Where’s my car?

A MAN stole a friend’s car and drove to Melbourne while he was organising a bus fare for him on Sunday, police allege.

The victim had driven his friend to a Vine Court, Robinvale address to organise V/Line bus tickets to Melbourne.

The driver had stepped from the vehicle, leaving the keys in the ignition.

While the victim had gone inside to seek help regarding the bus ticket, his friend jumped into the driver’s seat and drove off.

Police believed he was heading to Melbourne. The stolen vehicle was yet to be recovered.


Driver faces arrest

POLICE say they will arrest a driver who allegedly evaded officers in Swan Hill earlier this week.

Police attempted to intercept a black Holden Cruz in Weaver Drive on February 26.

This vehicle sped off.

Police said they knew the identity of the driver, who would be interviewed in coming days.


Gun breach

A MAN was arrested for being in possession of firearms while under a prohibition order.

Police conducted a search on a Thurla Street address on February 25 and found the man in possession of firearms.

An amount of crystal methylamphetamine was also located.


Assaults at home

TWO people were assaulted at a Robinvale address last week.

The incident happened at a Latje Road property on February 24. No one was injured.Fire investigation

POLICE are investigating the cause of a fire at a Nyah property earlier this week.

Firefighters and police were called to an unattended grassfire at the rear of a Church Street address on February 25.

Police and the CFA are investigating.


Items stolen

ITEMS were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in Swan Hill earlier this week.

Police said the victim attended a party in Campbell Street on February 25 when she returned and noticed the missing items.

Arson lead

POLICE are following a lead after a fire was deliberately lift in a residential area on February 22.

The small fire ignited in the Dunstone and Pritchard streets area.
