Drug arrest, property damage in Robinvale

POLICE have arrested a man in relation to drug possession and are also seeking witnesses to a destruction of property in Robinvale last week.

About 9am last Tuesday, police were called to check on a man in a vehicle parked in Perrin Street, Robinvale.

Members of the public called authorities and expressed concerned for the man, who appeared to have passed out.

When police spoke to the man they found a bag containing what was believed to be methylamphetamine.

The 27-year-old was arrested and taken back to Robinvale police station for interview.

He was summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

In another incident, police said that about 10pm last Thursday the fence of a property in Kennedy Street, Robinvale, was damaged by what appeared to be physical force, likely by hand.

The damage was reported to be minor.
