Swan Hill man arrested

DETECTIVES have arrested a Swan Hill man wanted for aggravated burglary.

He was arrested in Swan Hill on Wednesday after a public plea for information on his whereabouts.

Police refused to detail the allegations.

“He is assisting police with their inquiries,” a spokeswoman said.

Police spotted a white single-cab ute wanted over an ongoing investigation on Rutherford Street about 9.55am on June 20.

Police attempted to intercept the driver, but they sped off towards the NSW border.

It was unclear whether the wanted man was driving at the time.

Officers then blocked off the Swan Hill bridge and set up stop sticks on McCallum Street in an attempted to stop the driver, but they changed course and the ute was later seen driving through Nyah.
