A HOUSE on Hastie Court in Kerang has been gutted by a fire that occurred on Wednesday night.
Fire crews from Kerang, Cohuna and Koondrook were called to the scene at 11.21pm.
“On arrival, the house was fully engulfed,” Kerang Fire Brigade captain Ramon Steel said.
“We got the structure under control in 40 minutes and stopped it spreading to any neighbouring properties.”
Twelve firefighters had to wear breathing apparatus for the external fire fight.
“Because of the damage to the structure we couldn’t enter the building because the roof had already caved in,” Captain Steel said.
Police and ambulance crews were also on the scene.
All occupants of the property were accounted for and no one was injured.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
