Man faces child sex charges

DETECTIVES from Mildura’s sexual offences and child abuse investigation team have charged a Robinvale man with 14 historical sexual offences.

It is alleged the offences, against multiple victims, occurred between 1974 and 2019 in the Mildura and Robinvale areas.

The 75-year-old old Robinvale man was arrested in Mildura last Thursday.

He has been charged with 14 offences including indecent assault, rape, sexual penetration with a person aged between 10 and 16, assault with intent to rape, sexual assault and six counts of assault.

He has been summonsed to appear at Mildura Magistrates’ Court on November 23.
