Swan Hill unit fire suspicious

POLICE hope members of the public will be able to provide important information regarding a fire at the weekend in Swan Hill that is being treated as suspicious.

Emergency services were called to a Frazer Street property after the blaze was reported on Saturday morning.

A CFA spokesperson told The Guardian that units from Swan Hill, Lake Boga and Woorinen responded to the fire.

“Six CFA units responded to reports of units on fire on Frazer Street in Swan Hill at around 9.58am,” the spokesperson said.

“Crews discovered one unit fully enflamed and destroyed.

“The second unit had fire in the roof space and the nearby house was saved.

“Victoria Police and Powercor were called to the scene.

“(The) incident was deemed under control at 10.29am and safe at 11.23am.”
