Man, 74, dies in tractor tragedy

POLICE are investigating the death of a 74-year-old man at a farm in Woorinen South on Thursday afternoon.

A report for the coroner is being prepared by police as they examine the exact circumstances of the incident.

It’s understood the man was working at a farm on Woorinen-Goschen Road when he was run over by a tractor about 3.30pm.

A Victoria Police spokesperson said the man’s death “is not being treated as suspicious”.

“The exact circumstances surrounding the death are yet to be determined and the investigation remains ongoing,” the spokesperson said.

“Worksafe have been notified.”

Local police, SES and numerous Ambulance Victoria paramedics attended the scene, including an Ambulance Victoria helicopter.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said that Paramedics responded to reports of a tractor incident in Woorinen South at around 3.40pm”.
