Torches stolen in Campbell Street break-in

A break-in occurred at retail store The Wardrobe on a Campbell Street in the early hours of Friday morning, resulting in shop managers arriving to damaged windows.

Swan Hill Police are investigating the incident.

Investigating officer at Swan Hill Police Station Caleb Thompson said goods had been stolen from the store and the whereabouts of the two offenders was still unknown.

“This is not something that happens all the time in Swan Hill,” Mr Thompson said. “But I believe this is targeted.”

Store managers said they felt violated after the break-in and suspect the offenders were looking to steal vapes.

“We don’t have or sell any nicotine vapes, only the non-nicotine ones,” they said.

“But they didn’t steal any vapes. Instead they stole a couple of torches.”

Police encourage anyone with information to contact Swan Hill Police Station at 5036 1600.
