Police assaulted

A WOMAN is alleged to have physically assaulted police officers at a licensed venue in Swan Hill on May 31.

Police were called to the venue on Campbell Street about 11.50pm after receiving reports a woman was being verbally aggressive and racist towards staff.

On arrival, police asked the female patron to leave.

While still being abusive towards staff and police, the offender walked outside, with police following her.

She then grabbed a chair and threw it at a police member, striking him in the chest.

The accused was then arrested, whereupon she allegedly kicked and spat on members.

She was prepper-sprayed.

Offensive symbol

A NAZI symbol was spray painted on a bridge at Culgoa late last month.

Police said offenders painted the illegal symbol on the bridge on the Calder Highway some time on May 27 or 28.

Anyone found guilty of intentionally displaying a Nazi symbol in public or public view could face a $23,000 fine and/or 12 months’ imprisonment.

Home intruder

A WOMAN was confronted by an intruder inside her Swan Hill home on June 1.

The victim returned to her Barwick Court home about 7.30am, after working a night shift, and found a male inside the house.

The victim ran outside and contacted neighbours and police.

Police are gathering evidence on the alleged offender.

Vehicle stolen

POLICE are yet to recover a vehicle stolen from a Robinvale property.

A red Navara was stolen from a driveway in Darwin Road some time between May 31 and June 3.

Police said the vehicle was left unlocked but the owner had the keys.

House targeted

WINDOWS were smashed at a Robinvale address last month.

Offenders used concrete and pavers to smash the windows at the George Street property some time between May 26 and 29.
