Police briefs September 13, 2024

Bikes, guns stolen

OFFENDERS stole a motorcycle trailer containing three KTM dirt bikes from a shed on Lakeside Drive, Lake Boga, between September 5 and 6.

Police said it appeared offenders had returned the following night and stole a gun safe with three firearms.

Motorbikes snatched

OFFENDERS stole a motorcycle trailer and two bikes, a Yamaha YZ450 and a Honda CRF450R, as well as fuel from a property on Chillingollah Road near Nyah West, between September 5 and 6.

Night intruder

ABOUT 2.30am on September 6 a person approached two vehicles parked in a driveway in Logan Street, Swan Hill. A family pet alerted the property’s occupants, who went to investigate. The person fled the scene.

Stall theft

ITEMS were stolen from a roadside stall at the front of a property on Woorinen-Goschen Road, Woorinen South, between noon and 2pm on Tuesday.

Door smashed

OFFENDERS smashed the front door of a business in Karinie Street, Swan Hill, just after 4am on September 4. The alarm activated and the offenders fled in a vehicle.

Robinvale burglary

OFFENDERS forced entry to a shed on a property on the Murray Valley Highway in Robinvale between 11pm on September 5 and 8.30am the next day. Various power tools were reported stolen.

Vehicle theft

A WHITE Mitsubishi Triton was stolen from an address on Chinkapook-Mittyack Road, Pier Milan, about 1.30am on September 4. It was found on Bish Road, Swan Hill, the following day with the numberplates removed.

Town assault

A MAN out to dinner with his family in Kerang was approached and assaulted by another man about 7pm on September 6. The victim, 47, sustained a cut to his eyebrow requiring stitches. Police said the offender was known but was yet to be interviewed.

Cemetery burglary

OFFENDERS forced entry to a shed at Quambatook Lawn Cemetery and stole fuel, a chainsaw and hand tools between August 23 and September 5.
