Arrests: On Friday, November 10 police intercepted a vehicle on Boldrewood Drive, Swan Hill. A search of the vehicle located a substance believed to be methyl amphetamine in a handbag. A 54-year-old female was arrested, charged and bailed. In an unrelated intercept, the following day, police intercepted a vehicle travelling on Moar Road Swan Hill. The vehicle was searched and a quantity of what will be alleged to be ecstasy and methyl amphetamine was located. The 41-year-old male driver was arrested, charged and bailed to attend court at a later date.

Scammed: Between October 24 and 30, an elderly victim was contacted on her computer by someone purporting to be from the Australian Federal Police. They convinced the victim that she was being scammed and gave them access to her computer. More than $130,000 was taken from her bank account. This investigation is ongoing.

FIRES

In the early hours of Sunday, November 10 a vehicle parked in the driveway of an address in Frazer Street, Swan Hill, has been damaged by fire. There are suspicious circumstances surrounding how the fire started. The investigation is ongoing.

The CFA and Police were called to an address in Hawthorn Court, Kerang in relation to a fire in a backyard on Friday, November 8. This was in contravention of the fire danger period restrictions.

At about 2pm on Friday, November 8 CFA and police were called to a paddock fire on the Murray Valley Highway, Natya. The cause of the fire is being investigated.

On Wednesday morning, November 6 a vacant house on Curran Road, Tittybong, has been found on fire. CFA attended but were unable to save the home. The cause of fire is being investigated.

On Wednesday morning, November 6 police and CFA were called to an address in Harrison Crescent, Swan Hill, after smoke was seen coming from the address. The occupant has started a fire not realising it was a day of total fire ban. He was interviewed at the scene and will attend court at a later date.

On Wednesday afternoon, November 6 CFA and police attended a crop fire in Normanville. Up to 30ha of crop was damaged. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
